Senior Army Officers stormed Nnewi for the burial of late General Samuel Momah on Friday October 30, 2020. The military delegation was officially led by the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, represented by the General Officer Commanding 82 Division, Major General L A Adegboye .

 

The Pall Bearers at the event include Major General J.S Malu (Director, Defense Standars and Evaluation), Major General JC Egbudom (Commandant Nigerian Army Engineering Schools), Major General S A Yaro( Director Nigerian Army Welfare Board), Major General H.E Ayamasowe (Fmr  Registrar, Nigeria Defense Academy)) Major General C.O Ofoche ( Director of Policy and Plans, Army Headquarters) and Major General I B Fakrougha (Commandant Women Corps ).

 

Other senior officers at the event include Brigadier General JS Maina (Director of Militry Intelligence 82 Division, Enugu), Col A I M Lapai (Commander Military Cantonment Onitsha), Col C I Nwaonyi (Commander Nigerian Army Provost Corps 82 Div), Col AA Yusuf (Director Army Public Relations 82 Div, Enugu)

 

Air Vice Marshall Ben Chiobi Rtd (Security Adviser to Gov Willie Obiano) was present to pay homage while the bestman to lat General Momah, Major Aloy Akpuaka Rtd was represented by Barrister AE Okpala

 

The Governor of Anambra State Willie Obiano was represented by Professor Solo Chukwulobe (Seretary to State Government).

 

Other diginaties at the event include Dr Ogbonnaya Onu,  (Minister of Science and Technology),Dr Chris Ngige (Minister of Labour) Dr Anakwenze (Chirman World Igbo Congress), Rev Obinna Akukwe (Director General, Igbo Mandate Congress), Barrister Emejulu Okpalaukwu (Chairman, Igbo-Ohanaeze Integrity Groups) Igwe Mbamalu Okeke of Abagana,  Dr Ife Etiaba amongst others.

 

In his tribute, the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Tukur Buratai described late Major General Momah as an excellent army engineer who believed in the unity of the nation and worked tirelessly for a unified nation.He sent condolences to the bereaved family on behalf of the Nigerian Army.

 

The enthusiastic crowd at the burial commended the solidarity senior military officers from all indigenous nationalities showed their late colleague and expressed faith in the unity of the nation. They expressed belief in their speeches in the unity of the nation and wished the Momah family the grace to bear the loss.  Th

 

The St Stephen Anglican Church, Umudim Nnewi, was filled with military officers from all tribes in Nigeria who took over traffic control around Nnewi all through to the family house. The funeral service was presided over by some Bishops including Rt Rev Ndubuisi Obi, Bishop of Nnewi .

 

The Director General of Igbo Mandate Congress, Rev Obinna Akukwe has commended the military for showing solidarity with an illustrious colleague who distinguished himself in service to nation. He praised the military for acting as one, despite ethnic and tribal differences and extolled the exploits of numerous serving Army Generals of Igbo extraction that have remained committed to the unity of the nation despite provocations from misguided secessionists.

 

Major General Momah from Okpunegwu, Umudim, Nnewi was former Commandant of Nigerian Army Engineering Corps, Adjutant General of the Nigerian Army, Minister of Science and Technology and member of Provisional Ruling Council. He served as Minister during Abacha and Abdulsalami tenures as military president.

Youth Pulls Down, Burn Mosque in Nsukka as Igbo Mandate Congress Sues for Peace

 Youth at Nsukka on Saturday pulled down the Central Mosque after an Hausa man stabbed a tricycle operator at Army Barracks junction on Saturday, 30th September, 2020. The irate youth first pulled down the signpost of the first Mosque before proceeding to pull down another Mosque near Army barracks junction.

 

Trouble started when there tricycle ‘keke’ operator demanded for N100 from the wife of an Hausa man but the lady refused, insisting that the fare is N50 naira. In the ensuing argument, the husband to the lady arrived the scene and stabbed the tricycle operator severally and eloped with her wife on another motorcycle.

 

The youth angered by the lifeless body of their member, descended on two mosques, one for daily congregational prayers and the other one which is the central mosque, they destroyed one and burnt down the other.

 

Igbo Mandate Congress learnt that the doctors at the Bishop Shanaham Hospital later managed to revive the man, later in the day, after a successful surgery.

 

Mr Sunday Edem, leader of Ozim Edem Vigilante outfit while speaking with the leader of Igbo Mandate Congress in Nsukka, Paschal Igwe, said that they are trying to contain the situation.

 

 

Mr Paschal  Igwe, leader of Igbo Mandate Congress in Nsukka was detailed by the Director General of the group, Rev Obinna Akukwe to meet with stakeholders to ensure peace but his initial briefing IMC showed that many Hausa within the area has relocated to Obollo Afor for safety while some shops belonging to northerners were burgled in anger.

 

The Governor of Enugu State, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi, the Sarki Hausa and the President of Nsukka town union are currently at a peace meeting in the burnt mosque held meeting on Monday 2nd November to further bring peace to the troubled community.

 

A former governorship aspirant in Ebonyi State, Rev Paschal Gold Nwaigwe who witnessed the violence, while briefing the Director General of Igbo Mandate Congress, Rev Obinna Akukwe,  that “presently the Governor is sharing rice and palliatives to the Hausa community to pacify them and we are all at the Central Mosque, and the Hausa people are very happy. The picture that Nsukka people are fighting Hausa is not true”

 

Igbo Mandate Congress had sued for peace in Nsukkka. The Director General of the Group, Rev Obinna Akukwe had asked both ‘’the irate youth and the Hausa community to resolve the crisis before the IPOB miscreants takes advantage of the situation to unleash mayhem in the town. He described the incident as unfortunate event capable of disorganizing the peace between the Nsukka indigenes and the Hausa community. He asked the representative of the group in Nsukka to brief him on the current situation”

 

He also asked the Muslim leaders Nsukka “to guard against frequent use of knives and daggers to settle trivial conflict and asked the irate youth not to take laws into their hands to avoid unnecessary bloodshed and tension in the traditionally peaceful domain” He asked their  representative at Nsukka to convey the message to both parties.

Price of Bread, Flour Rises as Master Bakers Elections Ends in Fiasco , Group writes Buhari

 The attempt by Association of Master Bakers and Caterers of Nigeria AMBCAN to elect new national officers ended in fiasco at the River Plate Park, Abuja, on Wednesday, as two groups emerged from the outcome. The fiasco started after the conduct of the presidential post where Alhaji Mansur Umah polled 96 votes against Alhaji Zubairu Muhammed who got 86 votes. The polling agent of Alhaji Mohammed identified over twenty-six persons who were not properly accredited and called for fresh re-accreditation of delegates which was overruled by the electoral body. The attempt to ignore the fake delegates allegedly imported by a flour mill known as Mama Gold, led to the boycott of the rest of the election.

 

The protesting group stalled the process for over four hours, demanding fresh accreditation of delegates, before they staged a walked out of the venue of the elections citing glaring irregularities, and abandoning the rest of the exercise.

In a petition sent to the office of the President, Vice President, Minister of Agriculture and Director State Security Services, FCT the dissenting group claimed that “  the association of Master Bakers and Caterers of Nigeria do hereby rejects the fraudulent election held on the 7th of October at River Plate Park, Abuja  because the process was hijacked by fraudulent actors bent on hiding their monumental embezzlement of Federal Government incentives to Master Bakers aimed at making the price of bread  unaffordable’’

 

“The Stakeholders of Master Bakers of Nigeria do hereby calls upon President Muhammadu Buhari to institute a proper investigation of the embezzlement of the past seven years, and diversion of incentives, stimulus, subsidies aimed at making the price of bred affordable to Nigeria.

 

“The Stakeholders of Master Bakers of Nigeria asks the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission EFCC to help recover all the stolen incentives with the flour mills, Bank of Industry and other agencies which these executives deceived and diverted packages from”

 

 

 

The group alleged that proper accreditation of delegates was not conducted and that the owners of Mama Gold Flour Mill brought strange persons in four buses and gave them bribes ranging from N70,000-N30,000 to vote for their preferred candidate. A contestant told delegates at the venue that he was offered bribe of N10 million naira to step down for a preferred candidate.

 

Alhaji Zubairu Abubakar while calling for the cancellation of the elections promised to “consult his lawyers before further comments because he is too shocked to see such levels of criminality with supposedly civilized people”.

 

Prince Jacob Adejonrin while addressing the delegates at the venue of the botched election said that “there is no way this charade can continue. A situation whereby attempts to institute accountable leadership in the affairs of AMBCON is resisted with fraudulent elections can no more be tolerated.  This is not a personal fight, rather a battle to make the price of bread affordable to all Nigerians”

 

Mr Sunday Akam while addressing the delegates said that ‘’  we came here for the accreditation yesterday as agreed only to discover that Mama Gold Flour Mills had imported people into the venue, with four coaster buses ,against the agreements that no flour mill will sponsor any candidate. We also agreed on open –secret ballot due to the Federal Government Guidelines on Covid-19, and proper accreditations but to our surprise, those who are not bakers flooded the venue and were accredited. There is no way we can continue with the process”

 

 

 

The enraged delegates stalled the process for over four hours before walking out and relocating to Royalton Hotels, Area2 Abuja, where they elected interim management. The new officers to act as interim executives including Alhaji Zubairu Abubakar (Interim National President), Prince Jacob Adejonrin( Interim Vice President), Mr Sunday Akam ( Interim National Secretary), Chief Chukwuma Anthony Eze (Interim National Financial Secetary), Mr David Olusegun (InterimNational Treasurer)

 

After the election of Interim Executives at Royalton Hotels, the new Interim National Secretary, Mr Sunday Akam called upon “the Federal Government to conduct a fresh election devoid of fraud, manipulations, irregularities and vote buying so that reforms that will make the price of baked product affordable will be initiated. The state of affairs in the organization is making the price of flour soar from N900 in March to N18,000 in September, and it is not acceptable”

 

 

 

The Director General of Igbo Mandate Congress, IMC, Rev Obinna Akukwe had blamed the leadership crisis of the bakers association for the rising cost of flour, bread and bakery products. He condemned a situation whereby the price of a bag of flour rose astronomically from N9,000 in March to N18,000 in October because criminals running the bakers association at the national level lack the tact to engage government and the flour mills for proper intervention.

 

 

 

While receiving some delegates from the South East and South South who paid him a courtesy call, Rev Akukwe asked for “proper election into the body and urgent intervention of President Muhammadu Buhari and Vice President Osinbajo’s Economic Stimulus Group to urgently address the crisis of Association of Master Bakers and Caterers of Nigeria before an ‘Anti-Bread Hike Protest’ erupts nationwide compounding the already simmering EndSars Protest”

 

 

 

The Secretary of the Electoral Committee,Comrade Ede Egbuji, and two members of the electoral committee, Alhaji Suleiman Mohammed and Alhaji Gidado discredited  the process and refused to sign the election s register. They called for fresh polls, and have made their reports to the appropriate bodies.

 

#Endsars Attack on Northerners -Igbo Mandate Congress Absolves Ndigbo

 

Igbo Mandate Congress wishes to dissociate Ndigbo from activities of some from IPOB who hijacked the commendable #endsars protests, with intent on killing, looting, burning and sacking northerners from the South East zone. The plot includes cattle rustling, shooting of armed forces and criminal activities all aimed at deliberately attracting reprisals, increasing tension and unleashing mayhem on Igbos in the north.

 

Igbo Mandate Congress alerts that the few mob involved in these acts of criminality does not represent the majority of Igbo Youth. Igbo Mandate Congress discloses that the mob also attempted to burn markets in Enugu, Onitsha, Aba and blame it on strangers in order for the mayhem to be complete.  They attempted to rape students of Queens College, Enugu while searching for hoarded Covid-19 palliatives, before the military saved the students from another Chibok case.

IMC wants the aggrieved northerners to know that Igbo traders and establishment also shared the brunt of the IPOB endsars protesters and the arsonists are not representing Ndigbo in their looting and maiming spree.

 IMC wonders what IPOB profit will if they burn down markets in the South East in the name of #Endsars protests, and asks those behind the heinous plot to desist or risk exposure.

 

 

 

Igbo Mandate Congress commends soldiers of the Nigerian Army who secured markets in Abakaliki, Enugu, Awka, Aba, Umuahia from the mob and enjoins them to continue their acts of patriotic duty.

 

Igbo Mandate Congress in an internal communication on Sunday 25^th October, asked Igbo leaders, Igbo Development Associations and Ohanaeze Ndigbo in the 19 Northern States to initiate dialogue with their hosts, especially in Kano, Kaduna and Bauchi where aggrieved northerners were planning reprisals.  Igbo Mandate Congress is glad to hear that a successful containment is ongoing in potential trouble spots.

 

 Igbo Mandate Congress had earlier through internal communications of Friday 23^rd October, called upon IPOB not to have anything to do with the stolen staff of office of a Yoruba king, to avoid unnecessary victimization and blackmail of Ndigbo. IMC commends the reasonable response of IPOBians in Lagos concerning the stolen staff and asks them to steer clear of Lagos cultural politics since it has no bearing on Igbo success.

‘IPOB Endsars Violence,Looting, Prepare for Attacks’ -Igbo Mandate Congress tell Igbos in the North

 Igbo Mandate Congress warns Igbos in the North, excluding Kogi and Kwara States, to be prepared for attacks on them by some northerners whose properties were destroyed in parts oF Obigbo, Onitsha, Aba , Abakaliki, Owerri, Okigwe and Enugu, including some lives lost when IPOB protesters took the Endsars protest to another level, with looting, killings, burning of police stations, public places and attempted burning of markets,.

 

The purpose of all these premeditated arson, lootings and provocations, is for the aggrieved northerners to start a reprisal attacks in the north, then anarchy will be let loose in all parts of Biafraland, including Delta, Bayelsa, Rivers, Cross River and Akwa-Ibom States.

Igbo Mandate Congress is in possession of very credible intelligence of how the mayhem will be unleashed so that the proposed Biafra Republic will be actualized before the end of October and First Week of November. The plot is to provoke northerners living in the South East with looting and sundry killings until northern youth react with large scale bloodshed in the north, running into thousands, and the entire Biafra land and Nigeria will be put on fire.

Igbo Mandate Congress have initiated talks with unit commanders of IPOB to dissuade them from further involvement in any form of protests, and recording some successes, however, the worst is still not yet over.

Igbo Mandate Congress mandates its members within Igbo Development Association, IDA  and Ohanaeze Ndigbo in the 19 Northern States to initiate dialogue with the host communities, military, and relevant state governments to ensure that the activities of miscreants in the South East is not viewed as the collective will of Igbos to harass northerners in the region.

Igbo Mandate Congress reminds its members of the events prior to the 2015 Presidential elections, where it instructed its members and advised Ohanaeze in 19 northern states to Ignore Igariwey led Ohanaeze Ndigbo National Executive’s call for Igbos in the north to vote Goodluck Jonathan, advising them to vote their conscience in accordance with the stance of Mbazulike Amechi led Ohanaeze Ndigbo Elders Council, and Raph Obioha led Ohanaeze Ndigbo Caretaker Committee and how the stance secured safety for Igbo residents in the far north.

Igbo Mandate Congress therefore, asks Igbos in the north to make contingency plans to defend their markets, and communities because government agencies can be very myopic, uncoordinated and clueless in the face of crisis.

IMC wishes to put it on record that it warned relevant agencies of government before October 1st, to dialogue with different sections of the Nigerian populace to avoid the levels of uprising witnessed recently, but the agencies were too timid, corrupt and shortsighted to have averted crisis whose warning signals started from July

Don’t Send Oba of Lagos Staff of Office to Nnamdi Kanu’-Igbo Mandate Congress Warns IPOB

 

Information at the disposal of Igbo Mandate Congress suggests that the stolen staff of Office of the Oba of Lagos, Rilwanu Akiolu, has been sent from Lagos Island, around Silverbird Hotel, where the Endsars Protesters initially took it to, to the house of an IPOB chieftain living around the area.

The staff of office was taken by some Yoruba youth, but due to constant harassment by evil spirits, strange voices at night, the protesters who connived to take it, and coronate a new,young Oba of Lagos, has bowed to pressure from spirits  but  decided to hand it over to IPOB instead of returning it to Oba of Lagos Palace.

Igbo Mandate Congress begs the said IPOB chieftain, excited at receiving the sacred staff, to please remove the hand of the Igbo from the ancestral politics of Lagos State and the Yoruba people.

The #endsars protest is not about seizing the Staff of Oba of Lagos, it’s about exposing the age long wickedness of the Nigerian Police and the notorious SARS, of which Awkuzu in Anambra State is the worst in Nigeria, with evidences by us of people’s organ being harvested and sold under the very eyes of our politicians in APGA, PDP AND APC.

Igbo Mandate Congress have exposes SARS in the past, and insists that between 2006-2014, more than 5000 persons were killed under the guise of looking for MASSOB and Biafra Zionist Movement by PDP and APGA governors in Anambra and Imo States. Let us cleanse our own house of putrefying odors before we look outside Igboland

Igbo Mandate Congress advises IPOB in Lagos not to negotiate, receive in custody, transmit or encourage the seizure of the staff of office of a Yoruba King, let alone negotiate a ransom of N2 million naira to buy and send to Nnamdi Kanu in London. #Endsars Protest not about Buhari, Fulani, Hausa, its Igbo, Yoruba Police Wickedness to Fellow Tribesmen

The Endsars Protests is not all about Buhari. Atrocities were committed from the Obasanjo time to Jonathan time, using SARS to kill Igbo Youth. Those turning it into ethnic affairs are  stupid.

 

James Nwafor who killed my friend and former Chief Security Officer to Uwazurike by name Chukwuemeka Ugah, is not from Borno or Katsina. He is from Ebonyi State. The rest killer commanders I have encountered over time, and rescud eole from their hands are all Igbos, Yorubas, Urhobos, Bini, ItsekiriLets remove tribal roaganda from this #endsars rotest so that Nigeria can move forward.

 

Lets not turn the Endsars protest into Hausa-Fulani vs Igbo Affair as IPOB wants to do. More Igbos were killed during Peter Obi time by SARS Awkuzu than any other time, under the Supervision of Obasanjo, Jonathan, Peter Obi and Achike Udenwa , more than 5000 Igbos were killed by combined efforts of the Army and SARS Awkuzu during the shoot at sight order of eter Obi. Afterwards James Nwafor and SARS were used to kill and collect ransom.

 

I have written about how SARS Awkuzu murdered many people in the past, and have reported their atrocities to Ohanaeze Ndigbo, CAN,PFN,GAAICOM etc

 

I wrote a piece titled 'Murder of Prophet Nwoko, Chukwuemeka Ugah, others' last year June and  I mentioned in paragraph eight, nine, ten, thus:

 

"In 2014, I was introduced to Comrade Chukwuemeka Ugah, erstwhile Chief Security Officer to MASSOB leader ,Raph Uwazurike. He needed my assistance concerning his travails with MASSOB. This man from Igbariam in Anambra State opted out of MASSOB, accusing Uwazurike of abandoning them to penury while living in opulence. He formed the Association of Igbo Youth (AIYO) with lots of MASSOB loyalists and all hell was let lose. By the time he was reporting to me, about fifty of his members have been murdered by MASSOB allegedly under the order of Uwazurike.

 

"In a petition signed by their National Coordinator, Comrade Chukwuemeka James Ugah and Anambra State Coordinator, Mr Odinikpo Ananwude and addressed to the Assistant Inspector General of Police (AIG) Zone 9, Umuahia, submitted on the 1st of November, 2013 they alleged that on the 14th of July alone, Uwazurike’s men murdered 18 of their followers at Onitsha.

 

"It got so bad that Ohanaeze and GAAICOM waded into the matter and Barrister Okpalaukwu was asked to follow up while the church leaders while prominent Igbo clerics asked me to follow up and get back to them. The matter was reported to the AIG Zone 9 .The AIG invited them for settlement and some MASSOB activists laid ambush on AIYO activists and the journey was aborted by security tip off, I prevailed upon Okpele and his boys to shelve the trip to avoid further bloodshed.

 

"Few months later, Okpele, former CSO to Uwazurike was invited to SARS Awkuzu and by the next day he was murdered in detention. Okpele had alerted a week earlier that Uwazurike threatened to use his friendly links with the Jonathan Government and police to kill him and his alert was ignored until he was killed. Murder Of 5000 MASSOB Members: Igbo Mandate Congress Accuses Obasanjo, Peter Obi And Achike Udenwa Of Genocide

Igbo Mandate Congress IMC wants to bring to the attention of all Biafran protesters and agitators that the greatest genocide ever under the guise of stopping separatist MASSOB agitators was under the tenure of Peter Obi, as Governor of Anambra State, Achike Udenwa as Governor of Imo State and Olusegun Obasanjo as President of Nigeria.

Biafran agitators should hold these three men responsible for killing thousands of innocent civilians in the guise of seeking for members of Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB). Nigerian soldiers numbering over 200 were invited into Anambra State in June 2006 by Governor Peter Obi and in the process murdered estimated 5000 innocent Igbos in the guise of rooting out MASSOB agitators. This was done with the ever gleeful support of ex-president Obasanjo in the infamous operation ‘Shoot-at Sight Order’

During these periods that spanned till early 2009, Nigerian soldiers were on rampage at Onitsha, Nnewi, Oba, Ihiala and environs shooting, killing, and maiming anything that has a suspicion of being MASSOB. As the shootings were going on, real MASSOB members escaped into various dens while stranded travelers, unsuspecting trader and residents were branded MASSOB and shot.

By the time the exercise was over, estimated 5000 people were killed and the affected families took the remains of their relatives and buried quietly to avoid being killed too by the rampaging soldiers. All these wickedness was at the behest of an APGA Governor claiming to be a follower of ex Biafran leader Odumegwu Ojukwu

It is curious to the leadership of Igbo Mandate Congress, IMC, that the same people who ordered the massacre of thousands of Igbos under the guise of anti-Biafra stance in the past have now come out to secretly fund aspects of the pro Biafra agitations, and aspects of hate speeches against other tribes due to political downturn.

Therefore, as Igbos negotiate their way out of the Biafra quagmire in the Nigerian context, we must remind ourselves that the greatest enemies of Igbo common good is not Buhari, Tinubu and their APC. as being bandied now. It is Igbo politicians who corner the lot of their people for personal aggrandizement. It is Igbo politicians who invited Federal Troops to kill unarmed civilians without exhausting avenues of negotiations and diplomacy.

MASSOB issued a statement to that effect when its then Director of Information, (now factional leader of MASSOB), Mr. Uchenna Madu, speaking on behalf of the leader of MASSOB, Chief Ralph Uwazuruike on the 12th of November, 2013,said that Peter Obi and Achike Udenwa are responsible for numerous death of Bafran agitators. According to Madu, “We hold Peter Obi responsible for the killings. This reminds us about the 2006 shoot-on-sight order by Governor Peter Obi who massacred about 2,000 MASSOB members.

“We shall arrest him and pay him back in his own coin in our own way immediately he steps down as the governor because his recent action of killing MASSOB members will heavily affect APGA chances of winning this election.”

In another statement issued by the leader of MASSOB, Chief Ralph Uwazurike, and signed by MASSOB Deputy National Director of Information, Mazi Chris Mocha on the 12th of Aprili, 2014, the group alleged that the former governor and his Imo State counterpart, Dr. Achike Udenwa, had between 2003 and 2006 deployed federal troops from different states and allegedly ordered them to shoot MASSOB members at sight. According to the new MASSOB spokesman “Mr. Peter Obi and former Imo State governor, Dr. Achike Udenwa, had ordered the killing of MASSOB members between 2003 and 2006 and would be tried in court in due course. Obi had on May 11, 2006 under the Presidency of Olusegun Obasanjo deployed over 200 federal troops most of who were of Hausa and Fulani tribes to Onitsha and issued a shoot-at-sight order to them. Thousands of our members were killed, including a pregnant woman and 65 others still missing,”

Kenneth Anyanwu, MASSOB director of information, told Newswatch that MASSOB was on its way to a solidarity rally in Okigwe in support of American war against terrorism in Iraq when a combined team of the armed mobile policemen laid ambush and opened fire on them. Anyanwu accused Governor Achike Udenwa of Imo State of being behind the killing of MASSOB members. He said Ralph Uwazuruike, MASSOB leader, was arrested and detained at the Imo State police headquarters near Government House, Owerri, before the Presidency ordered his transfer to Force Headquarters, Abuja , on Monday, March 31, 2005.

Soon corpses of MASSOB members were allegedly killed under the nose of Peter Obi and Presidency of Goodluck Jonathan and thrown into Ezu River. According to MASSOB Director of Information, Mr Uchenna Madu’s statement of February 6th, 2013, the corpses found floating on Ezu River in Amansea community were MASSOB members, who were arrested in the state and secretly executed by the security agents without proper trial to cover their tracks.

Madu said: “MASSOB with deep sense of grief and sorrow wishes to inform Mr. Ban Ki Moon (UN Secretary General), President Goodluck Jonathan, US president, Barrack Obama, United Nations Human Rights Commission (UNHRC) and Amnesty International about the gruesome murder of MASSOB members by the Special Anti-Robbery Squared SARS, of Nigeria Police Force, Awkuzu Anambra State.”

He said some of the MASSOB members identified as Basil Ogbu, Michael Ogwa, Sunday Omogo, Philip Nwankpa, Eze Ndubisi, Ebuka Eze, Obinna Ofor, Joseph Udoh and Uchechukwu Ejiofor were arrested at the MASSOB security office Onitsha, Anambra State on November 9, 2012 by a combined team of Nigeria security agents (Army, Police and SSS) and were later handed over to SARS headquarters, Awkuzu Anambra State where they were detained until their suspicious disappearance.

Igbo Mandate Congress demand a public inquiry into all the killings of MASSOB, IPOB, Biafra Zionist and other Biafra groups to determine who invited the soldiers, levels of atrocities and levels of culpability at various levels of authority. The inquiry should also determine whether all avenues of diplomacy and peace were exhausted before the violent use of force was authorized. The inquiry should determine the identity of all the thousands of non-MASSOB members gruesomely murdered and let the indicted public officers be made to apologize publicly.

This public inquiry will definitely expose the level at which Igbo politicians paved the way for all the bloodshed. We have never heard that any Yoruba Governor invited soldiers to kill OPC members. We never herd that any South South Governor invited soldiers to kill militants.

Blaming President Muhammadu Buhari, whose government is just six months, for all the atrocities against Ndigbo, while the real culprit meander away, is not correct and not according to the laws of natural justice. Olusegun Obasanjo, Peter Obi, Achike Udenwa and their cheer leaders must apologize for genocide against innocent people, then the healing process can start.

The Federal Government should release Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB Protesters. They should also release Ben Onwuka of Biafran Zionist Movement languishing in Enugu Prisons for hosting Biafran Flag in a Radio Station. and all MASSOB members in detention, rehabilitate them and send them home.

They should speed up an inquiry to audit the causes of death of thousands of innocent civilians under the guise of stopping MASSOB agitations. If these steps are taken urgently, lots of tempers will cool down and the agitators can come to a round table. Any advise to the contrary is self serving and will compound the already waiting time bomb.

 Bishops, Imams and Professionals under the aegis of Leaders Alliance Network has adopted Gold Paschal Nwaigwe its preferred candidate for the governorship election foEbonyi State. Speaking at the reception ceremony held for the two time guber candidate from Ebonyi State, last Saturday in Abuja, the National President of Leaders Alliance Network, Apostle Dr Paul John Paul, said that they have looked across all over Ebonyi Sytate and selected a God fearing person who will govern the State with the fear of God. He described Rev Gold Paschal Nwaigwe as a man of integrity who will bring good governance to the people of Ebonyi State.

Apostle Dr Paul John Paul said that “the Leaders Network Alliance has people of all faith who are interested in good governance in Nigeria. We have the ability to cause people to win elections without spending billions of naira through people oriented strategies that has worked in many states. In his speech accepting the adoption, Rev Gold Paschal Nwaigwe told the audience of people from all faith that though he came sixth and fourth in the last two previous shots out of thirty six contestants at the governorship of Ebonyi State under African Democratic Congress ADC and National Rescue Movement NRM, that he is now the man to beat. He said that his Deputy Campaign Co-ordinator, Pastor Mr Esther Nguji , who was earlier stabbed with dagger during the last gubernatorial elections in Abakaliki, has been harassed again two months ago and and threatened with death by some pastors praying for Governor Umahi at Government House, Abakaliki, led by one Pastor Sunday. He claimed that he has reported the matter to the appropriate authorities. He promised to bring grassroots leadership to Ebonyi State and vowed to uproot joblessness and corruption if elected.

Igbo Mandate Congress has described the Leaders Network Alliance as one of the solutions to ethno-religious crisis in Nigeria. Speaking during a chat with the Coordinator of the group Apostle Dr Paul John Paul, in Abuja, yesterday, the Director General of Igbo Mandate Congress, Rev Obinna Akukwe said that the ability of the conveners of Leaders Network Alliance to scout for and rally round credible leadership irrespective of religious leanings, is what the nation needs, to bring solution to the religious conflict about to tear Nigeria apart.

He described Leaders Network Alliance as “Inter-religious, inter-tribal alliance of progressive bent on charting a new course for the nation. I am pleased to see Muslim and Christian clerics praying and discussing together, I am pleased to see Hausa, Fulani, Ijaw, Tiv, Yoruba, Igbos come together to discuss the fate of Nigeria. I wish the alliance well and ask government and progressive elements in Nigeria to give maximum support to this initiative”
