Bishops, Imams and Professionals under the aegis of Leaders Alliance Network has adopted Gold Paschal Nwaigwe its preferred candidate for the governorship election foEbonyi State. Speaking at the reception ceremony held for the two time guber candidate from Ebonyi State, last Saturday in Abuja, the National President of Leaders Alliance Network, Apostle Dr Paul John Paul, said that they have looked across all over Ebonyi Sytate and selected a God fearing person who will govern the State with the fear of God. He described Rev Gold Paschal Nwaigwe as a man of integrity who will bring good governance to the people of Ebonyi State.
Apostle Dr Paul John Paul said that “the Leaders Network Alliance has people of all faith who are interested in good governance in Nigeria. We have the ability to cause people to win elections without spending billions of naira through people oriented strategies that has worked in many states. We have the strategic and spiritual capacity to enthrone anyone that catches our fancy, according to the leadership of the Holy Spirit and we do not discriminate based on faith”
In his speech accepting the adoption, Rev Gold Paschal Nwaigwe told the audience of people from all faith that though he came sixth and fourth in the last two previous shots out of thirty six contestants at the governorship of Ebonyi State under African Democratic Congress ADC and National Rescue Movement NRM, that he is now the man to beat. He said that his Deputy Campaign Co-ordinator, Pastor Mr Esther Nguji , who was earlier stabbed with dagger during the last gubernatorial elections in Abakaliki, has been harassed again two months ago and and threatened with death by some pastors praying for Governor Umahi at Government House, Abakaliki, led by one Pastor Sunday. He claimed that he has reported the matter to the appropriate authorities. He promised to bring grassroots leadership to Ebonyi State and vowed to uproot joblessness and corruption if elected.
Archbishop Manasseh Kefas , Bishop Prince Gabriel Obubah, Bishop Philipp Aku, Apostle Freeman Adaji, Imam Iliya Madaki, Imam Idris Yusuf and Imam Zakari Mohammed and Imam Chukwuemeka among others prayed for Rev Gold Paschal Nwaigwe for success at the polls in Ebonyi State. They also prayed for speedy development of Ebonyi State.

Igbo Mandate Congress has described the Leaders Network Alliance as one of the solutions to ethno-religious crisis in Nigeria. Speaking during a chat with the Coordinator of the group Apostle Dr Paul John Paul, in Abuja, yesterday, the Director General of Igbo Mandate Congress, Rev Obinna Akukwe said that the ability of the conveners of Leaders Network Alliance to scout for and rally round credible leadership irrespective of religious leanings, is what the nation needs, to bring solution to the religious conflict about to tear Nigeria apart.
He described Leaders Network Alliance as “Inter-religious, inter-tribal alliance of progressive bent on charting a new course for the nation. I am pleased to see Muslim and Christian clerics praying and discussing together, I am pleased to see Hausa, Fulani, Ijaw, Tiv, Yoruba, Igbos come together to discuss the fate of Nigeria. I wish the alliance well and ask government and progressive elements in Nigeria to give maximum support to this initiative”
